District praised for Jubilee celebrations

UUP councillor Trevor Wilson congratulated the entire district after what he said was a great celebration of a momentous occasion.

“I would like to congratulate all those who organised and attended all the Jubilee events held over the weekend in the Cookstown District,” said Mr Wilson.

“It was without doubt a momentous occasion borne out by the large crowds who took the opportunity to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

“It was lovely to see so many people of all ages enjoying the festivities. I would like to add my own congratulations to Her Majesty who during her reign has been an example to all of us. The loyalty of her subjects has been much in evidence throughout Northern Ireland in a spectacle of enjoyment and celebration.”
