Get into summer at Meadowlane
THERE’S so much on offer at Meadowlane Shopping Centre this summer, whether you are looking for something for your holidays or planning a stay-cation at home.
With a great mix of locally owned stores and top high street names to choose from, you’re sure to find what you want in Meadowlane. Whether it’s fashion, health and beauty, food, gifts and homewares, jewellery, cards and stationary, etc it’s all at Meadowlane this summer.
Based in the town centre, Meadowlane Shopping Centre compliments the busy shops, bars and restaurants Magherafelt has to offer. The shopping centre first opened in 1991, boasting Mid Ulster’s only Dunnes Stores as its main anchor tenant. Other anchors have since joined such as Iceland, who have been so busy that they recently extended their store to cope with the increasing customer demand. Other existing retailers such as Semi-chem and Vogue were so busy in their original stores, that they have now moved into larger premises.
Since the extension and refurbishment programme in 2006, new and exciting retailers such as New Look and River Island have joined the tenant line-up, providing a great offer for those with an eye for cutting edge fashion. Other new retailers such as Poundland, Holland & Barrett and Yankee Candle Store have opened since and traded very well. Service providers such as Timpsons shoe repairs, O2 phones or financial services at The Cheque Centre have been kept busy also, facilitating the people of Magherafelt.
It’s not just great shops Meadowlane has to offer - after a long day’s shopping, why not nip into Costa Coffee or Viva Café to fuel up with a tasty lunch or meet friends for coffee. While taking the weight off your feet at one of the great cafes, you can normally view one of the regular family friendly events taking place on the mall, where kids are entertained for free, or maybe take part in a fun charity bike ride or dance-a-thon.
Meadowlane prides itself in making the centre accessible and safe for everyone. It won a 5* ‘Loo of the Year’ award for the customer washrooms, disabled facilities and parent and child facilities for six years running.
The 500 space multi-store car park has also been a recipient of the Park Mark Award for six years. Park Mark is a police initiative which gives accreditation to safe and secure parking facilities.
Long-standing tenant, Shopmobility, the charitable organisation who provides mobility scooters and wheelchairs to customers, are always ready to provide customers with the right equipment to make their visit to the centre easier and more accessible.
Don’t forget, shoppers are entitled to FREE car parking for the first hour in the multi-storey car park (entrance via Moneymore Road).
