Special CD raises money for Epilepsy charity

GEOFF Hamilton, leading drummer with Tullylagan Pipe Band, who are at the moment British and European champions 2012, hands over a cheque for £1,200 to Marina Clarke from Epilepsy Action NI.

Also present was local representative Barry O’Hagan. The money came as a result of donations for a CD called ‘Glasgow Green’ which the public very kindly responded to, helping this very worthy cause.

Glasgow Green’ is a song featuring different musicians and singers blending with pipe and drum music. The lyrics and music were composed by Billy Taylor to help the charity.

Special thanks to the many participants, The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and of course the public for their very fine contribution, not forgetting the different shops that helped the cause by using their premises for the purchase.

Thanks also to Irene Bradley and Andrea Morgan. This CD was recorded in Studio 19 Co. Down. A new CD album of hymns and gospel songs ‘Some Glorious Morning’ is to be released soon, again charity related, this time for Action Cancer. More information will be available later.
