IT comes as little surprise to see Glasgowbury championing local rock music - this week presenting the talents of Jaded Sun, Dutch Schultz and fresh faced Gascan Ruckus.
It's a line-up with one very serious intention of rock on its mind, albeit rock in three of its finest discerning forms.

It's the first gig proper for young Armagh outfit Gascan Ruckus who were spotted by the Glasgowbury talent scouts a few moons ago.
They have the privilege of opening their first G Session, playing their hearts out to an enthusiastic audience all while finally drinking beer - legally.

They're a young band carrying that old school, classic rock vibe on their shoulders - that style that this week finally became cool because the BBC finally interviewed The Answer and said so.

With more than a slight tinge of punk swimming through their veins, Ruckus don't sound dis-similar to a raw Green Day by way of dirty southern blues.

Their beginnings come as a refreshing jolt to a music scene that all too often has sadly replaced the harder style of rock and roll with an easy listening attitude.

Naughty rockers Dutch Schultz provide the filling this Saturday, on the back, front and side of a scantily clad lady fest at a Belfast venue a few weeks ago.

The trio caused a bit of a stir when they showed up with pole dancers in tow for the release of 'It Bends In The Middle' - basically a song about, erm...well, that dangly male organ.

Despite numerous attempts to track the band down for comment, rumour had it they were locked up 'in training' with the girls and as such unavailable for comment. Whether or not the girls make it to Draperstown this week remains to be seen...

A band for whom music is more than a way of life, Dutch Schultz are in it for the long haul, doing what they love and loving what they do. And enter Jaded Sun who take that principle one step higher.

The Dublin collective are quite simply one of the most stunning rock bands you may ever see play live.

Recognised by Classic Rock Magazine who tipped them for greatness as well as tucking a Croke Park Bon Jovi support slot under their belts, Jaded Sun are Ireland's answer to the next big thing. And Glasgowbury's championing of the southern five piece is no coincidence.

This trio of bands line-up to blow the bejasus out of you this weekend and to deny yourself the chance of experiencing rock and roll in this, its finest form, would be a sin.

Missing the chance of those dancers might also be sinful...
