Then why not inject some pure and wholesome music in your life kids, it's never too late to jump off the bandwagon.
This month sees the culmination of a year's hard work put in by singers, songwriters and a few local bands on the Rural Key Music P
roject.
This month also sees said entertainers gathering together to put that knowledge into action as they fire it down your throats with earnest.
Enrolled on this year's course we have the likes of local songwriters such as Oonagh Clarke and John Gribbin as well as bands Sword Chant and Black Horse, all of whom are no strangers to the live scene.
This year's showcase event - a blow out if you will - will also welcome an extra addition - the talents of accomplished singer/songwriter Ricky Warwick who will play at the showcase on May 31 at the Cellar Bar, Draperstown.
An accomplished musician in his own right, Ricky will no doubt show the graduates what it is to make it in the world of music.
Born in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland, Ricky got his first guitar at 14.
"That old, used guitar changed my life... it saved me, it was more than just notes on a fret board, it was the deepest breathe of life I ever experienced. I felt like I was armed when I carried it.
"It wasn't long before he was attempting Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen records.
Ricky Warwick is once again armed with his guitar, he's far from fourteen, and he has something important to say. Maybe you should listen.
More details will follow in the coming weeks including exclusive interviews with some of the young acts vying to make it big.
