EIGHT-YEAR-OLD Ellie O’Neill from the Loup is also hoping to impress judges in the Junior Final of The Face of Northern Ireland 2012.

Ellie’s mum Martina said the whole family is looking forward to the event at the Canal Court Hotel, Newry, this summer.

She is delighted that Ellie has been given a fantastic opportunity to fundraise for two very special charities The Rainbow Child Foundation and Headway The Brain Injury Association.

“We saw the competition online and we sent in a photo. We couldn’t believe it when we found out she’d been chosen,” said mum, Martina.

Ellie, a pupil at St Patrick’s Primary in the Loup, is an Irish dancer and along with her friends, she is participating in a sponsored Irish Dance-A-Thon in Meadowlane Shopping Centre, Magherafelt on Saturday, July 28.

“It’s great she can use her Irish dancing talents to raise money for charity,” added Martine.

Her family also plans to hold a huge raffle on the day and want to thank businesses in the area who have donated great prizes.
