Big music nights lined up at the Burnavon
THE Burnavon is bringing top quality music acts to Mid-Ulster this June which is sure to suit the tastes and preferences of all audiences, so all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the wide range of live performances in the intimate, friendly theatre.
Enjoy your favourite rock ‘n roll songs on Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22 with music students and teachers from the Mid-Ulster School of Music presenting music from Elvis, The Beatles, Bob Dylan and U2.
A Night at the Musicals on Tuesday, June 1 is not to be missed with an evening of dazzling musical theatre both visually and vocally. This multi award winning Man of Many Voices and the Dynamics are sure to inspire audiences with a breathtaking show of drama and passion bring Oklahoma, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago and Cats to life on the Burnavon stage. Tickets cost 14.
Another feast of country music is planned with the Charity Country Music Concert on Wednesday, June 2. This show will star some of Ireland’s top country stars including Boxcar Brian, The Benn Sisters, yodeling Kenny Archer, Barry Doyle (Farmer Dan), Tony Kerr, Tracy and Rod McAuley (The Bar Room Buddies) and Country Harmony. All proceeds are in aid of Cunningham’s Lane Cross Community Residents Association and tickets cost 13.50.
Nathan Carter, the new voice and image of country music, is set to hit the Burnavon stage as part of the Kings and Queens of Country show on Friday, June 18. Picking up awards for the ‘Hot Newcomer’ and ‘Best Newcomer’ to country music Nathan will perform many hits from his latest album ‘The Way That You Love Me’.
Also appearing as part of the show will be Sinead Taggart, Kim Dickinson and Jimmy Hendry all of whom will be bringing their very own distinct and personal styles influenced by famous legends such as Dolly Parton, Shania Twain and George Jones. The Kings and Queens of Country show will feature a five piece band performing a string of live hits. Tickets cost 14.50.
