Fighting With Wire return home

AFTER the disappointment (for them and us) of seeing Fighting With Wire pull out of last year's headline slot to begin the recording of their second album, there's a genuine excitement echoing through our bones to see them return to their adopted homeland this year.

Never managing to get past bridesmaid status, Fighting With Wire have dropped just short of headlining status on a number of occasions, supporting Duke Special and Ash in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

And considering members of the band have, in one guise or another, acted as stage techs, festival crew and musicians since the festival began in 2000, few could be more prepared to take the headlining mantle for Glasgowbury's tenth birthday.

And drawing on material from debut Man Vs Monster alongside exciting new work from Bones Of The Twilight, which went down a storm at two recent gigs, we can't wait to see Fighting With Wire back up where they truly belong.
