Local comedian’s alter ego set for Burnavon stage

AFTER a successful circuit on the local comedy scene, Moneymore man Cormac O’Donnell is hitting the Burnavon Stageas his controversial alter-ego Igor Bolshoikirov.

After only two open mic spots he went on to tour Northern Ireland and the Republic, supporting Keith Farnan (Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow), Joe Rooney (Father Damo from Father Ted) Colin Murphy (The Blame Game) and Kevin McAleer.

His new no-holds barred show focuses on his creation of a character, Igor- a russian migrant worker living in Ireland, described as “an alter-ego matched only by Borat”.

The comedy is based on Igor’s experiences of cultural differences using O’Donnell’s razor-sharp wit and his self-proclaimed ‘sexiness’ to the comedy stage!

MC for the event will be Belfast comedian Paddy McDonnell and features support from the stars of the YouTube video ‘Lambeggin’; Darren Matthews, Ruairi Woods, Johnny McCarthy and Christian Talbot.

But be advised that the show does contains strong language and material used by the comedians may not be to everyone’s taste.

“Igor- from Russia with Love” is on at the Burnavon Theatre Cookstown, on 4 February 2012, show starts at 8pm. Tickets £10 available from the Burnavon box office or online at www.burnavon.com.
