The group was set up to tackle the issues of lack of sporting and social facilities, lack cultural education, providing better education and teaching new skills to the people who live within the boundary of this community.

As the the groups name suggests, its aim is to regenerate this area which seems to have been forgot about. The Four Towns Rural Regeneration Group organised a five aside football tournament in order to raise awareness of it’s cause and had a very successful day.

Dean Shiels showed his support for the group and their objectives by donating a signed Northern Ireland shirt and presenting the trophies to the lucky teams.

The Dam busters beat Nice To Michu in a penalty shoot out to win the shield and Sedgy Fergo beat LFC 3-0 to nice the cup. Greg Verner won the draw for the signed Northern Ireland shirt.

The Four Towns Rural Regeneration Group would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teams and players would supported this event and made it a fantastic day and also thanks all those who worked so hard to organize and run the event. Due to this event being such a success, it will definitely be turned into an annual fixture.
