Tourism Oscar for Todds Leap

TODDS Leap, the activity, conference and training centre has scooped a Tourism Oscar.

The company won in the Best Visitor Experience category and was highly commended in the Marketing and Sales Excellence category at the recent Northern Ireland Tourist Board Tourism Awards.

Having committed up to £250,000 in business development and tourism products in 2012 and 2013, this significant contribution to the economy has already witnessed a return on investment through the company winning a Tourism Oscar.

Organised by the NITB in partnership with Diageo Northern Ireland, the awards covered 11 categories showcasing the very best in local tourism provision.

Speaking after picking up the Award on behalf of Todds Leap, owner and managing Director, Benny O’Hanlon said Todds Leap took a strategic decision last year that they would seriously up their game n 2012 and 2013 to compete against local and national competition but also to align themselves with the Northern Ireland Executive’s tourism and economic targets.

“An investment by the company of up to £250,000 accompanied by the recruitment of more staff has already reaped dividends and winning this award is a tribute to all staff at Todds Leap who work tirelessly week in and week out to build the business and give visitors to Todds Leap and Northern Ireland an unforgettable visitor experience,” he added.

Congratulating Todd’s Leap on their success, Tourism Minister Arlene Foster said the Awards recognise and celebrate all that is good in the local tourism industry.

“Everyone who has won an award has set the bar high in terms of quality, customer service and the visitor experience they are delivering. I encourage others to follow their lead and make the Northern Ireland tourism industry truly world-class,” she said.
