World renowned Christian singer/songwriter Graham Kendrick performed a concert in Magherafelt High School recently.

The event, which was hosted by Maghera Parish Church, proved to be a really enjoyable night. Graham interacted well with the audience, performed a wide range of his songs, and demonstrated why he is widely regarded as a father of modern worship music.

For more than 30 years, Graham has been at the forefront of Christian music in the UK and has performed on the BBC’s Songs of Praise. He has written some of the world’s best-known worship songs including Shine Jesus Shine, Knowing You, The Servant King and Amazing Love.

People travelled from near and far for this special event. Rev Isaac Hanna, Rector of Maghera Parish, told the Mail:” We were really encouraged and delighted that Graham and his band were able to come to the Mid-Ulster area to lead such an inspiring evening of praise and worship.”

It was encouraging to see the hall so well filled and thanks go to all who helped, in various ways, to make this event the success that it was.

Particular thanks also go to the local businesses who kindly sponsored the evening: Tobermore Concrete Products, Mill Garage Knockloughrim, JB Tyres, F.P. McCann, Gilbert Crawford, T.B.F Thompson, Dial-A-Cab Taxis, J.C. Stewart’s, McKee’s Butchers, Sizzlers Restaurant, Mel’s Fish and Chips, and Riddell Bros.
