THE mother of Conor McCusker who died following an incident outside a bar in Cookstown is encouraging young people to consider becoming organ donors.
Clare McCusker revealed that seven people have had a second chance at life after being given her son’s organs following his death.

Conor, from Ballinderry, had been enjoying a night out with his younger brother, Derry GAA star Niall McCusker, when an altercation occurred at the Mint in the early hours of Sunday, April 19.

Mr McCusker suffered serious head injuries and lost his fight for life the following day.

Conor’s relatives have also donated £4,000 in lieu of flowers, to Bellaghy priest Fr Frank Diamond who is a missionary in Tanzania.
