Series of thefts in Cookstown

A NUMBER of cars were broken into in Cookstown last week.
And police are appealing for information following the thefts and attempted thefts.

The thefts from vehicles took place in the Derramore, Forthglen, Tullagh View and Gortalowry areas of Cookstown sometime overnight on Wednesday, October 28.

At this stage, police have received reports of 12 incidents in the Cookstown area and ten in the Dungannon area during which a number of items, mainly tools, have been stolen from vehicles. Tools were also stolen from the garage of a property in the Derramore area.

Police are investigating a possible link between these incidents, and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who may have any other information to contact them at Cookstown on 0845 600 8000.
