AN Creagan has released it’s 2013 Arts Programme, packed full of exciting, entertaining and educational wprkshops and events.

The programme, funded by National Lottery Funding through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, welcomes unique workshops in creative writing, comedy, print making and photography. An Creagán provides a unique and intimate setting where participants can experience what promises to be a magical programme.

Stand-Up Comedy Workshop with Sean Hegarty

Workshop with experienced local artist Sean focuses on writing creative comedy and turning it into a structured, audience-friendly piece.

Participants will also learn performance techniques and present their work in a group performance.

We aim to offer mentoring to budding comedians and help to strengthen the local live comedy scene. This is perfect for beginners who always wanted to try comedy.

Macro Photography with DGpix Photography

Wildlife Photographer Danny Gibson will mentor participants through techniques and equipment required for high quality close up images.

This hands on workshop will enable participants to learn how to use their own digital SLR camera competently.

Creative Writing with Liz Weir

International award winning author Liz is taking up residence at An Creagán to offer workshops in Creative Writing. Liz is a specialist in writing for children and she will guide adults seeking to gain knowledge in storytelling. Liz will also offer a day’s workshop for young people who enjoy writing. An Creagán offers a peaceful retreat which can bring about the right climate for inspiration to flow. Suitable for beginners.

Printmaking with Jill McKeown

Award winning artist Jill will guide participants through the art of dry point printmaking. This course is suitable for all levels of ability and is a wonderful opportunity to work with an artist with international credibility.

As a closing highlight of the workshops participants will present their own Art exhibition at An Creagán for the public.

All materials are included in the workshops at no extra cost. For further info and bookings contact Martin on 028 8076 1112 or email arts@ancreagan.com
