Detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating paramilitary activity in the Dungiven area have arrested a 60 year old man in County Antrim.
Five men were arrested last week as part of the same investigation. Four were released unconditionally. One will have a report sent to the Public Prosecution Service. The 60 year old suspect is being questioned at Antrim police station.
Detective Chief Inspector Una Jennings, from Serious Crime Branch, said: “We are investigating various forms of paramilitary activity in the Dungiven area, predominantly over the last four years. These include shooting incidents and threats.”
