Red carpet rolled out for Neeson!

BALLYMENA will give Hollywood star Liam Neeson the full ‘red carpet treatment’ when he accepts the Freedom of the Borough next Monday!

The lavish event is scheduled to commence at 1pm at The Braid with a ‘red carpet’ entrance which can be watched by locals from a special viewing area on Bridge Street.

A giant outdoor screen will relay the ceremony to those not lucky enough to have the hottest ticket in town.

Just in case of wet weather, arrangements have been made to show the event ‘live’ on a large screen in the Seven Towers Leisure Centre where complimentary refreshments will be served.

Inevitably there will be some degree of parking traffic disruption.

Castle Street car park will be closed to the public and the inside lane of Linenhall Street leading up to Bridge Street will also be closed.
