AN innovative and award-winning programme for pre-school children is being launched in Mid-Ulster.
The Creation Station’s hands-on art and craft exploration sessions give even very young children the chance to safely experiment with a wide range of materials, tools and ideas.
Roisin Ryan-Egan is leading the weekly, term-time programme for youngsters and their parents/carers at Meadowlane Shopping Centre, Magherafelt and Cookstown Leisure Centre.
Roisin, mum to three-year-old little girl and previously a Marketing Manager in Banking is launching The Creation Station after discovering a gap in the market for these types of activities when she wanted to find classes for her daughter and couldn’t find any locally.
To celebrate the launch, everyone buying a trial session will get a second session for free.
Roisin said: “I am really excited about bringing The Creation Station to Mid-Ulster. Our aim is to inspire children’s imaginations through our specially designed art and craft activities and products.
“As well as being terrific fun for both child and adult the sessions encourage positive parenting skills through practical creative play.
“Creating their own piece of art each week also helps develop a child’s thinking and creative skills. Another plus point for parents is that even when we get messy using paints and clay they don’t have the worry and stress of cleaning up like they would at home. We also offer unique Arty Parties which are already proving really popular and Fun Arts and Crafts activities for Community, Family, Corporate and Retail Fun Days”
Sarah O’Neill, Centre Manager of Meadowlane Shopping Centre where Magherafelt classes will be hosted said ““ We are delighted to be hosting the Creation Station’s programme of Arts & Crafts sessions at Meadowlane. This will be something very new and different to offer our customers and their families who visit the centre each week. We have already used the Creation Station for some of our own family fun days and have been so impressed by the service and professionalism of the events but mostly by the how much the young children enjoy this original brand of Arts & Crafts activity. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Roisin every success in launching this new venture”
The Creation Station is the first of it’s kind in Mid-Ulster and only the second Creation Station franchise to be awarded in Ireland.
