A HOAX bomb threat was made on Friday afternoon claiming a device had been left close to ASDA in Cookstown.
The caller claimed a bomb was left between the supermarket and McDonalds.
This came almost one week after the murder in Omagh of PSNI constable Ronan Kerr.
Police received the notice just after 3pm on Friday.
The area was not evacuated but access was restricted whilst police checked vehicles for anything untoward.
A police spokesperson said such calls ‘take resources away from other tasks and heightens the fears and concerns of local community’.
