Cookstown firm CDEnviro among UK's top 20 fastest growing SMEs for export

Cookstown company CDEnviro is among the top 20 SME firms in the UK for Export.

Published last weekend, the second annual Sunday Times Heathrow SME Export Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s private small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) with the fastest-growing international sales.

CDEnviro ranks at No 16 on the league table, having grown its international sales an average of 127% over two years to £3m.

Its overseas customers include US multinational Cargill, which uses its waste processing technology to clean soil at its tomato processing factory in Brazil. Chairman Tony Convery led the firm’s spin-out from construction company CDE Global in 2011.

CDEnviro design and manufacture a range of waste reduction and recycling equipment solutions for application in the sewage, waste water, waste management and utility industries.

These high performance, high efficiency materials recovery and recycling systems have been developed to substantially reduce waste to landfill and maximise the production of commercial grade products from a number of waste streams.

Earlier this year CDE global revealed that they will create 110 jobs over the next six years as part of a £7million investment with £1.3m support from Invest NI.
