Maghera firm make grand entrance at Titanic Hotel

The new Titanic Hotel in Liverpool has just opened - the sister development of Titanic Visitor Centre, Belfast also has a replica version of the Titanic’s grand staircase that will have visitors queuing up for photo opportunities.

Maghera-based Specialist Joinery Group delivered a substantial fit out package at the £36m pound regeneration project which included the grand staircase.

Speaking about their involvement in this prestige project Specialist Joinery Group Managing Director John Bosco O’Hagan said, “This unique 4* hotel will attract a global audience captivated by the Titanic story. After delivering a multi-million pound joinery package at the Titanic Visitor Centre Belfast in 2012, we are delighted to showcase our skills at the latest Titanic attraction in Liverpool.”

The construction of the magnificent sweeping staircase occupied a team of master craftsmen in the workshop for a staggering 3 months. It is an exemplary piece of traditional joinery work, designed and manufactured using the latest in 3D imaging and CNC Technologies for efficiency and accuracy.

Specialist Joinery Group manufacture and install bespoke joinery and fitted furniture products. The group have their own story of positivity and growth to share, having recently invested £3 million in enhanced manufacturing facilities.
