Magherafelt firm Henry Brothers scoop prestigious award

Local company Henry Bros, based in Magherafelt took home the Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award at this year’s Northern Ireland Business Awards, organised by the Belfast Telegraph in association with British Airways.

Henry Brothers is a Magherafelt based construction and civil engineering company which focuses on People, Planet and Place under its CSR strategy.

Examples of its work are a voluntary community project with Kilronan Special School which saw the company build an outdoor play area to suit the children’s needs and a Work Inspiration Day for local schools to encourage both male and female pupils to consider a career in the construction industry.

More than 350 people attended the awards at the Culloden Hotel, Belfast where the guest speaker was Tom Avery a record-breaking mountaineer and polar explorer and one of only 41 people in history to have reached both North and South Poles on foot. Henry Bros have won numerous awards in recent years.
