Following an intensive interview process, Eamon has reached the final within the ‘industry category’ and now competes against 23 other entrepreneurs with winners announced in October this year.

As part of the journey, Eamon has recently returned from a week long CEO retreat in Boston as part of a programme of strategic activities over the next six months.

“I am thoroughly delighted to be named as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards. To be named alongside some of Ireland’s most successful business people is an absolute privilege,” said Eamon.

“I have been working in the kitchen industry now for 33 years and I have along with my brother Paul and my late father Eddie established a market leading company which is now in its 23rd year of business with turnover doubling over the last three years to £19million.

“To reach this stage is testament, not only to my ambition and determination for success but it’s also a wonderful achievement for the company as a whole.”

The EOY Ireland programme has evolved into a development programme that supports fast-growth entrepreneurial companies with the three main award categories being; ‘emerging’, ‘industry’ and ‘international’.

Eamon continues: “I am hugely proud of our workforce and the importance of our people is engrained in the culture of our company. Having grown up in Newbridge, it’s even more of an honour now to be able to give something back to the local community through the business, namely job creation and sponsorships of local teams, events and charities.

“We have further growth plans to double our revenue over the next 5 years so the future of Uform is certainly bright.” Finalists in each of the categories and an overall winner will be unveiled at the annual gala dinner in October.
