DUP Mid-Ulster MLA Ian McCrea has welcomed news that a Castledawson engineering company is to invest over £5 million into its design and manufacturing business.
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster last week announced that Moyola Precision Engineering are to invest £5.3 million to target complex aerospace components.
Welcoming the news, the Assemblyman said: “Moyola Precision Engineering is a manufacturer of high precision machined components for a range of sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical devices and power generation.
“This announcement is great news and as a result will see 15 new jobs created and a further 20 will be safeguard, taking the total employment to 117. This is indeed a good news story, especially with Mid Ulster being one of the hardest hit areas by the recession,” he said.
“Moyola have set the bar high in this sector with their continual investment in state-of-the-art manufacturing, design technology and staff development and I want to wish them every success as they seek to target higher value added and more complex projects.”
