THE Trust Catering Service at Mid Ulster Hospital recently held their annual “Catering Excellence” event which highlighted new initiatives that have been introduced in relation to the provision of food and beverage services for patients and users of the Catering Services.
The aim of the day was to communicate to users of the catering service the high standards which the Catering Team work towards. These include providing a range of services which benefit, and ultimately enhance the user experience, as the quality and choice of food can make a big difference to a patient’s stay in Hospital.
Violet Davidson, Acute Catering Services Manager said, “We provide a range of catering services which benefit and ultimately enhance the user experience both for patients in the hospital and those visiting our Trust facilities.
“Gone are the days of the same food served morning and night. Our focus is on providing high quality nutritious food, with a variety of menu options to suit different tastes and with an emphasis on value for money. It’s the small touches that can make a big difference”.
The event also gave the Hospital Catering Team an opportunity to raise awareness of the services provided, via displays in main reception areas, printed leaflets presented on patient meal trays and in the restaurant areas.
