Resurfacing work took place recently on the road and one resident told the MAIL the footpaths have been left in a very “hazardous” state. The lady who did not wish to be named told the MAIL that footpaths on both sides of the road are covered in stones making it very dangerous to walk along.

A DRD spokeswoman said: “The three day closure planned for next week will no longer be required as contractors finished the carriageway work on Saturday ahead of schedule. Contractors are currently working on resurfacing the footpaths and should be completed next week.”
