Cookstown woman shouted ‘Up the RA’ and ‘Fenian b******s’

A COOKSTOWN woman has been fined by East Tyrone Magistrates Court for disorderly behaviour.

Monica Patricia McMahon, 40, of Tullagh View, Cookstown pleaded guilty to the charge relating to an incident on 1st September 2013.

A court was told how police were on James Street attending another incident when the defendant began to shout abuse at police. She continued to be aggressive toward police despite being told to calm down.

She shouted at police saying “you black b******s, I’ll get the boys, they’ll sort you out.” She was again told by police to calm down but she continued to shout at police calling them “Fenian b******s”. She was cautioned by police for disorderly behaviour and she again continued to shout loudly “Up the Ra”.

Police then arrested the defendant and charged her with disorderly behaviour.

She was fined £165 in total,
