Neighbourhood police reported on Wednesday afternoon that while in Coalisland, they came across people selling items from to door-to-door.

"Can we just remind you that to do so you need a Pedlars Certificate and without one you're committing an offence!" they said.

But they also had a message for people offering services such as power washing at houses throughout the area.

"Furthermore if people are offering services such as power washing they are also required to have business insurance for their vehicle as its being used for hire and reward," they added.

"Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Police on 101."
