She said on arrival they observed a heavily damaged vehicle overturned in a field.

Counsel said a man was standing by the side of the vehicle and the defendant was inside unconscious.

The prosecutor said it was established that the injured party had been driving the vehicle.

Continuing, she explained that there were skid marks on the roadway and a fence had been flattened.
