THE UK’s number one Pink tribute act is set to take Gracelands Ballymaguigan by storm this Saturday night - and it’s all in aid of charity.
Alecia Karr will perform live hits from the global superstar’s huge array of singles, including ‘There you go’ (Can’t take me home) as well as tracks from award winning albums ‘Missundaztood’, ‘Try This’, ‘I’m Not Dead’ and the 2008 album ‘Funhouse’.
Backed by a fully complemented disco and super sound system, Saturday, August 25th at Gracelands is set to be a top night, which will be raising vital funds for those living locally with cancer.
The Pink tribute night is part of the South Derry venue’s efforts to help Ballymaguigan Lady of the Lough Edel Gilligan in her fundraising attempt for Charis Cancer Care.
Edel is up against 11 other local ladies representing their local pub or restaurant to raise the most amount of money in an eight week period. The lady with the most money will be crowned Lady of the Lough 2012.
Fundraising began on August 1 and the final night will be held in the Shepherds Rest, Sixtowns on October 6 where the winner will be crowned.
