POLICE have expressed their concern after a small quantity of suspected controlled drugs was discovered by a child in the Ardnaskea Park area of Coalisland, on Friday 26th July.

It was reported that a 12-year-old child had found a bag containing a quantity of suspected controlled drugs and reported this to police. Police are still trying to establish where the drugs came from and officers carried out follow up searches in the area.

Police have condemned the highly irresponsible actions of those who left drugs there. These people obviously do

not care about the community. On this occasion, the child told an adult what they had found, but the circumstances could have been very different.

Police would urge anyone who has knowledge of illegal drugs circulating to contact them immediately. The number to call is 0845 600 8000.
