AS Spring has sprung, it is definitely time to get out and about and enjoy the beautiful countryside on your doorstep, so dust off the tartan rug, hoke out the hamper and venture into the great outdoors with An Creagán.
An Creagán will kick start the season on Easter Monday with The BIG Family Picnic. A day of outdoor fun for the whole family, take this opportunity to join other picnickers for a good old fashioned day out.
Experienced al fresco diners can bring their own lunch or if you prefer the easy option there will be food and snack stalls for you to put together your own packed lunch without the hassle.
There will be live music for the grown-ups from 4-6pm provided by Drunken Lullabys, traditional games and face painting for the children and pond dipping for the nature lovers. Corbally mobile farm will be there with all sorts of animals and rare breeds.
There will be outdoor play in the Wild Woods throughout the day for kids of all ages to get involved in and of course it wouldn’t be Easter without a visit from the Easter Bunny. And don’t forget to pack some food for the ducks!
The BIG Family Picnic runs from noon – 4pm and entry is free.
If you are feeling energetic and want to do you bit for local Alzheimer’s charity (Oak Villa, Patients Comfort Fund at the Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital) join us for a charity walk from 11am.
For the sportier type join the Health at An Creagán beginners running club for their inaugural 5km Fun Run, in association with Active8 Carrickmore. Run starts at 10am, registration £5 from 9-9.45am.
