STUDENTS from the Magherafelt campus of the Northern Regional College have been recognised at a special event to mark their achievements.
The students on the Workready and Wider Choices programmes were presented with certificates, having achieved skills in different categories in Employability, Essential Skills Literacy and Numeracy and a Level One vocational qualification in retail and TIPSA.
Speaking at the event, Gerard Quinn, NRC Head Of Faculty for Access and Community congratulated all the students on their goals.
“We encourage all students to realise their potential and when we looked at what had been achieved by these young people, it was right to recognise their hard work. I know the curriculum team is exceptionally proud of what they have accomplished.”
NRC’s courses in Wider Choices and Workready programmes are aimed at young people who may experience learning difficulties or disabilities. The courses are designed to assist young people to prepare for the world of work or further training,
