Students created a prayer booklet for the Muiredach Cross Award

Students from St Ciaran's College Ballygawley have been working hard for their Muiredach Cross Award.

The Muiredach Cross Award is a new faith development award of the Archdiocese of Armagh. Its primary aim is to create opportunities for young people to put their faith into action. and to celebrate the excellent work currently being done throughout schools and parishes.

Niamh Conlan, Rebecca Hughes and Megan McGlone created a Prayer Booklet as part of their Muiredach Cross Award and recently presented it to the school’s Head of Religion Mr Canavan.

By developing their leadership skills, the award helps to enable local young people to become a positive influence on the spirit or ethos of their school, their parish and community.

The Award will also provide a solid platform for those who in later years may go on to take the Pope John Paul II Award.

The school were delighted with the effort the students made in creating the prayer booklet and congratulated them on the finished product.
