Video: Cookstown High students officially launch Davagh Forest Navigation App

A team of innovative students from Cookstown High have officially launched their mobile app to help guide mountain bikers around Davagh Forest Trails.

The G-Tracks team, formed just 12 months ago have had immense success since they formed and developed their unique app.

Speaking at the launch event held in Burnavon Theatre on Thursday (25th September), Mayor of Cookstown District Council Wilbert Buchanan said the young people behind the app, “are a credit to their school, their town and their families.”

Principal of Cookstown High School, Graham Montgomery said: “I am inspired daily by these young people and I am very proud to say you are pupils of Cookstown High School.”

Teacher behind the project, Mr Robert Johnson congratulated the students on their tremendous success and told audience members to watch this team in the future, as this was only the beginning.

The mobile app is available to download now from Apple Store and on Android devices.
