Employer for Childcare workshop set for Mid-Ulster

A CHARITABLE group is set to hold a workshop to discuss the issues of child care costs with those living within Mid-Ulster.

The talk, by Employers for Childcare will be facilitated by Ulster Unionist MLA Sandra Overend.

It will discuss focus on the impact of childcare costs on those in work, and will also offer advice to those considering returning to work or looking at their work options to better understand the family savings available to their individual circumstances.

“I am delighted to host a workshop for the Employers and Childcare group in my constituency office on Friday 7th September,” said Sandra.

“Employers for Childcare are a charitable organisation, who performs an important function in society as they help parents with dependents to get into and stay in work.

“Employers for Childcare work diligently to determine the impact of childcare costs on parents across Northern Ireland and I am more than happy to assist and raise awareness in this endeavour.

“The Family Benefits Advisory Service workshop which I shall host, on Friday 7th September, will run from 3pm to 5pm and is open to all Mid-Ulster constituents. The workshop will help parents who are in work, considering returning to work or looking at their work options to better understand the family savings available to their individual circumstances,” she said.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from Employers for Childcare to acquire free advice and support on issues such as Tax Credits; Social Security benefits; Childcare Vouchers; Free School Meals; School Uniform Allowances etc.

Sandra continued: “Whether you use child-minders, day nurseries, afterschool clubs, grandparents, siblings or a mix of all of the above, Employers For Childcare want to hear from you. I encourage all parents or guardians to get involved in this valuable process, drop in for a chat or call in advance to book an appointment with an advisor to chat through savings that could be made.
