Authorities at the council are investigating an “alleged breach of planning control” following a joint operation involving both Environmental Health at Mid Ulster District Council and the PSNI.

PSNI Dungannon posted a picture online in February of officers and council officials at a site where a large number of pallets appear to have been dumped.

“Working in partnership with Mid Ulster Planning Department and Mid Ulster Council Environmental Health Department, today outside Coalisland,” said a comment under the post.

When asked where the site of the “offence” was, a spokesperson for the council said: “Staff at Mid Ulster District Council are investigating an alleged breach of planning control and as an investigation into the case is ongoing it would not be appropriate to comment at this time.”
