The Mid-Ulster Section of The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Northern Ireland Branch has received a fantastic entry of 57 bands and 41 drum majors for the Mid-Ulster Championships, which will be held on Saturday, 4th June, commencing at 11am.

The venue for the contest this year is Cookstown High School Sport Arena, Coolnafranky Demesne, Molesworth Street, Cookstown. The Mid-Ulster Section was formed in 1954 and continues to go from strength to strength. The Section joined the Northern Ireland Branch of The Scottish Pipe Band Association (as it was called then) in 1955, and is the longest running in Northern Ireland.
