Henry and Seamus Downey who helped Derry win the All-Ireland title in 1993, have become the new owners of six major pubs in Belfast including the Apartment and McHugh’s.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the Downey brothers who already own premises in Magherafelt and Derry city, offered £4.3m for the portfolio formerly owned by the Botanic Inns group which also includes the Kitchen Bar at Victoria Square, the Parador on Ormeau Road, Molly Brown’s in Newtownards and Ryan’s Bar on the Lisburn Road.
