The Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinnness has praised students at St Mary’s Clady for their hard work.

Speaking after the prize giving, said it was important to recognise individual achievements in education.

“I was honoured be invited to this prize-giving event at St Mary’s Clady to celebrate the successes of pupils past and present,” he said.

“I commend the strong leadership of school principal, Basil Donnelly and the Board of Governors in helping to make the school a success.

“It is their dedication along with the teachers and school staff which help the young people to achieve their goals. I congratulate all the young people on their hard work and enthusiasm and I wish them every success in the future.”
