GLASGOWBURY organisers have announced a three-day festival- but this time the event is a busy programme of activities aimed at getting young people involved in the arts.
Set to take place in Draperstown from Tuesday 21 August to Thursday 23 August for those aged 8-18 years, each day will be dedicated to a specific discipline including dance, music and circus skills.
A dance workshop will take place on Tuesday 21 August at the Back Row Recreation Centre in Draperstown where participants will learn aspects of hip-hop, popping, locking, freestyle and shuffling from a professional and fun dance organisation.
The circus skills workshop will take place on Wednesday 22 August at the Back Row Recreation Centre in Draperstown with hands on tutoring in poi, juggling, plate spinning, stilts and bike balancing amongst other exciting activities.
An all day music workshop will take place on Thursday 23 August at the Cornstore Youth Club in Draperstown and there is the option to take part in guitar, drums, singing or songwriting sessions – and you can sign up for one all day session or two half day sessions.
The cost for the dance and circus skills workshops is just £3 per person and the all day music workshop is £5 per person – and if you’re interested in signing up for all three days it’s only £10.
