RITA Harkin, Research officer with the Ulster Architectural Heritage Society, will be the guest speaker at the February meeting of Ballinascreen Historical Society.
Rita is a qualified town planner and an expert in architectural conservation. In her illustrated talk she will share her entusiasm for our traditional buildings, and describe the campaigning work of the UAHS to ensure their survival, using examples for the Mid Ulster area.
Her talk will be held on Tuesday February 1st, starting at 8.30pm, in the Rural College, Derrynoid. It will be followed by a brief Annual General Meeting of the Historical Society. Light refreshments will be served, and as always non-members are very welcome to attend.
