Ballinascreen
DUE to the fact New Year's Day falls on a Tuesday, the first meeting of Ballinascreen Historical Society in 2008 has been held back for a week and will now take place on Tuesday, January 8.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Kevin Johnston who will discuss the establishment and development by the Drapers' Company of his home village of Moneymore.
Kevin's talk is entitled 'Planting Moneymore' and will begin at 8:30pm in the Rural College, Derrynoid. It will be followed by light refreshments and as usual everyone will be made very welcome.
