Hundreds of people have shared their fond memories of Clubland nightclub Cookstown, as a celebration disco was held in the popular venue at the weekend.
However, a spokesperson for Clubland has said they have not shut their doors and will continue to host various functions each month, including the teenage discos.
There are no immediate plans at this stage, however, to revive the regular Saturday night discos.
Billed as the ‘Final Clubland’ held as part of a charity fundraiser, the story on the Mail website attracted thousands of readers.

On Facebook, some even revealed that they met their future wives in the nightclub.
“Sad times too, end of an era for many of us, some wilde but good times in there and met many wonderful friends thru Clubland,” read one post.
“What a blast it was in its day,” another woman posted.
One person clearly shocked by the ‘closure’ news, wrote “Relight the clubland flame.”
Another said: “Clubland was in the top five nite clubs in Ireland.”
