Mid-Ulster Sinn Féin councillor, Brian McGuigan has praised all those who took part in last week’s community clean-up in Draperstown in response to the painting of kerbstones in the Irish national colours.
Cllr McGuigan said: “I have received nothing but good wishes from local people in response to the community led initiative to remove the unsightly paint from the kerbstones.
“Enough has been said about those who wish to tarnish the town’s image. One thing is for sure - the people of Draperstown and its neighbouring townlands are determined to make the town a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone to share and in which to shop, dine and do business.
“That is the vision of a confident and progressive community.”
