THREE men have been sent for trial on a series of burglary charges arising out of alleged incidents in the South Derry area almost three years ago.

Charles Paul Mongan (25), Willie Mongan (29) and Michael Mongan (22), who all have addresses in the Dunmurry area, also face charges of handling stolen goods and entering premises with intent to steal in August 2010.

The alleged offences involved the theft of firearms, televisions and lawnmowers from properties in the Bellaghy, Toomebridge, Maghera, Draperstown and Tobermore areas.

The trio were each granted bail of £500 until their arraignment at Londonderry Crown Court on August 20 when they appeared at Magherafelt Magistrates Court.
