WORKERS taking part in a late night litter patrol in Draperstown were verbally abuse, Magherafelt District Council was told.

Members heard the patrol was visiting a well known litter ‘hot spot’ when an attempt was made to block their van.

While parked at High Street the enforcement team was singled out, intimidated and verbally abused by a number of youths in a Peugeot 405,” said Andrew Cassells, Director of Operations. “An unsuccessful attempt was made to block their van.”
