A BELLAGHY couple’s business has been shortlisted for a coveted award from a major parenting website.

Airplay Inflatables, which is run by husband and wife team Jason and Louise Young, has beaten off rivals from hundreds of other local businesses for a place in the competition, often dubbed the ‘Parenting Oscars’, run by Netmums.com

Jason and Louise who themselves are parents of two young children, set up the business in April 2011 as a bouncy castle hire business, and have since expanded to offer marquees, garden games, and much more.

The firm must now battle it out to be crowned the overall Northern Ireland area winner.

Voting has opened in the poll on Netmums.com, with more than a million parents and childcarers who are members of the site eligible to take part.

Louise is hoping local people will get behind the business, which received the Best Customer Service title at the 2012 Mid Ulster Business Awards, hosted by the Mid Ulster Mail and Tyrone Times.

“We’re a small local business so to be in with a chance to win a top national award is fantastic”, said Louise.

“We work hard to provide the best memories for children at their parties, so I’d like to ask all the local mums and dads to get behind us, vote for us and make us the Northern NI winner!”

Voting closes on August 23 when the overall winner will be crowned the region’s best children’s party business. To vote, simply click on the ‘Vote’ button on the Netmums Party Awards section.
