A Cookstown man who was found by police urinating in a children’s play area has been fined at East Tyrone Magistrates Court.
Connair Bloomer, 23, of Drum Road, Cookstown was charged with indecent behaviour relating to an incident on Fairhill Road on November 23 last.
A court heard how police were on patrol in the area when they noticed Mr Bloomer standing in a children’s play park at around 2.45am. They observed him urinate on the wall against a toilet block. Police noticed Mr Bloomer was very intoxicated and when told what he was doing was wrong particularly in a play area where children frequent, he replied: “What’s your problem? I don’t give a fuck, they’ll not do anything.” Judge Neill Rafferty told Mr Bloomer “there seemed to be a thought by young men going out in Cookstown that you can urinate in public.” He was fined a total of £265 for the offence.
