The Local First government manifesto campaign was in Mid-Ulster on Tuesday, urging business owners in Cookstown and Magherafelt to be aware of the radical changes to councils.

The report by the Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association, entitled Local First, sets out 80 policy recommendations, covering economic development, urban regeneration, innovation and modernised town centres for the new 11 councils.

On Tuesday, Chief Executive Glyn Roberts was in Cookstown and Magherafelt, two of the towns on the 22 town and city centre tour running throughout April.
